STEP DWG Viewer opens CAD models and drawings directly on your Android device. No account, no conversion step, no desktop needed — pick a file and it renders.

Built on Open CASCADE Technology, the same geometry kernel used by professional CAD software, so a STEP file looks the way it does on your workstation: colors, part names and the assembly tree are preserved.

SUPPORTED FORMATS

3D models
• STEP (.step .stp .p21) — ISO 10303, with colors, names and assembly structure
• IGES (.iges .igs) — surfaces and curves
• BREP (.brep .brp) — the native OCCT shape format
• STL (.stl) — ascii and binary triangle meshes
• OBJ (.obj) — Wavefront meshes with colors
• PLY (.ply) — vertices and faces
• glTF 2.0 / GLB (.gltf .glb) — with colors

2D drawings
• DWG (.dwg) — AutoCAD drawings with layers and line weights
• DXF (.dxf) — Drawing Exchange Format

VIEWING

• Rotate, pan and zoom with one or two fingers
• Standard views: isometric, front, back, left, right, top, bottom
• Display modes: shaded with edges, shaded, or wireframe
• Fit to screen and reset view in one tap
• Dark, light or gradient background
• Optional view cube and shadows
• Model info: bounding box, solids, faces, edges, vertices and triangle count
• 2D drawings: toggle individual layers, switch line weights on or off

OPENING FILES

• A built-in file browser that lists only the drawings on your device, newest first, with search — no more hunting through folders
• Browse folder by folder when you prefer
• Tap a format to see just those files
• Recent files with thumbnails
• Open drawings sent from email, messengers or any other app
• The system file picker is always one tap away, so cloud apps installed on your phone — including Google Drive — work too

CLOUD STORAGE

Sign in and open drawings straight from Dropbox, OneDrive, OneDrive for Business or any WebDAV server such as Nextcloud, ownCloud or Synology. The app asks for read-only access and never uploads or changes anything in your account.

FAST ON SECOND OPEN

Parsing and meshing a large assembly takes time. The app caches the prepared geometry, so the next time you open the same file it appears almost instantly.

WORKS OFFLINE

Local files open with no network connection. Cloud storage is optional — you never have to sign in to anything to use the viewer.

CAPTURE AND SHARE

Save the current view as an image to your gallery, or share it straight to any app.

PERMISSIONS

Storage access is only used to find and open the drawings you choose. Nothing is collected, and nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

GOOD TO KNOW

• This is a viewer. It does not edit, convert or create CAD files.
• Requires Android 8.0 or later on a 64-bit ARM device.
• Very large assemblies need memory; a file that fills your device's RAM may fail to open.
• IGES files are drawn without colors, and PLY files ignore vertex colors.
