About this app
Chusko casts local videos from your phone to an Android TV, another phone or tablet, or a laptop browser. Your phone keeps the file and the controls. The screen just plays.
The devices stream to each other directly. Your video never passes through our servers. A small connection handshake goes through our relay so the devices can find each other, and that is all we ever see.
Chusko sends video files. It does not mirror your screen.
HOW TO USE
1. Install Chusko on both devices. A laptop works as the screen too: open chusko.byanr.com in its browser.
2. Pick a role on each device. The projector holds the video and controls playback. The screen just displays it.
3. On the projector, choose a video from your phone.
4. Pair them. Scan the QR code or type the six-character code. Rooms hosted on the same network appear automatically on Android TV, so joining takes one tap.
5. Press play and stay in control from the projector: play, pause, seek, volume, and 10-second skip buttons.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no upload step and no cloud copy. Media bytes travel between your devices and nowhere else. Nothing is stored outside your own hardware. You do not need an account.
WHAT YOU GET
- Casting from phone or tablet to Android TV, with the TV acting as a passive screen.
- Phone-to-phone sharing, so a friend can watch your video without you sending the file.
- Playback of any format the screen device handles natively, including long movies and MP4s whose index sits at the end of the file.
- Full local network speed when both devices run Chusko on the same Wi-Fi.
- One install for both worlds. The same app shows up in your phone launcher and your Android TV launcher.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Both devices need internet access for the pairing handshake. After that, the media moves straight between them.
- Same Wi-Fi gives the fastest transfers and lets the TV discover your room on its own.
- The projector reads the video file from its own storage. Chusko does not stream from URLs or cloud drives.
