About this app

Something may be in the room with you. Spectra turns your phone into the instrument that can tell.

Spectra is a paranormal field instrument that never fakes a reading. Every number on screen comes from real hardware in your phone — the magnetometer, the microphone, the barometer, the gyroscope and accelerometer — processed on-device and explained in plain language. No random spikes, no theatrics dressed up as data.

EMF DETECTION

Your phone's compass chip reads the magnetic field around you. Spectra spends a few seconds learning the room's ambient baseline, then flags how far each reading climbs above it — the classic first sign something is near. Watch RAW, BASE, and the Δ in microtesla, follow the needle toward the disturbance, and read the trace: house wiring sits flat, a passing elevator swells and fades, and the one you're looking for is a sharp climb that follows you around.

ITC CHANNEL

Instrumental transcontact through the device itself. On-device listening transcribes what you say and, under your words, surfaces anything talking back — live, as it happens. Replies need a quiet, still room to get through: ask a question, then give it a little silence.

EVP CAPTURE

A live spectrum shows everything the microphone hears, from deep rumble to past the edge of hearing. When something sustained appears outside the human speech band — below 85 Hz or above 4000 Hz, with no voice underneath it — Spectra saves a clip with a lead-in and tags its peak frequency. Detection pauses while the voice band is busy, so a capture can't just be you. Listen back in-app, or export clips as WAV files — raw, or enhanced with a pitch shift that brings infrasonic and ultrasonic energy into hearing range.

PRESSURE

The barometer tracks air pressure against the room's normal. Weather drifts slow and smooth; doors, drafts, and vents jump in steps. A sharp drop with nothing to explain it is the classic cold-front sign.

PRESENCE & RESONANCE

A composite level from 0 to 5 weighs every channel honestly: EMF counts least because fields twitch on their own, a voice reply counts most, and when two channels rise at once the level jumps faster. If you're moving, EMF and pressure are discounted until you hold still — the instrument refuses to be fooled by your own footsteps. Resonance reads how charged the room feels, watching the things that tend to happen before contact.

FIELD MANUAL

Every instrument has a plain-English manual page one tap away, telling you what the sensor measures, what the numbers mean, and which boring explanations to rule out first. Spectra teaches you to investigate like a skeptic.

The sensor readings, spectrum, and audio captures are real device measurements; spirit responses are an interpretive layer driven by those readings. What it all means after dark is up to you.

Grab your phone. Kill the lights. Ask your first question.
