About this app

Cough Tracker listens for coughs and logs when they happen, so you can review them later and look for patterns over time.

Everything runs on your device. Audio is analysed locally with an on-device
machine learning model (YAMNet) to recognise cough sounds. Nothing is uploaded: there are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics.

WHAT IT DOES
• Detects coughs through the microphone and logs a timestamp for each one.
• Optionally saves a short audio clip around each cough so you can listen back.
• Lets you add tags (for example a situation or context) and notes to entries.
• Shows patterns: a day-by-hour heatmap and simple statistics.
• Lets you log a cough manually when one isn't picked up automatically.
• Runs in the background with a persistent "listening" notification, so it can
monitor during long or overnight sessions.

PRIVACY
• All audio and data stay on your device.
• No data is sent to the developer or any server.
• You can export a report or audio file and share it yourself - for example
with a clinician - only when you choose to.

IMPORTANT
Cough Tracker is an observation aid to help you and your clinician spot
patterns. It is not a medical device and does not provide a diagnosis. Always
consult a healthcare professional for interpretation and medical advice.

What’s new

Background monitoring no longer pauses other audio. You can now keep
playing music, podcasts or YouTube while the app listens for coughs.
