HolyBeans is a coffee journal for remembering your brews, repeating your best recipes and discovering what you enjoy. From your everyday espresso to the pour-over you want to get just right, keep your coffees, recipes, equipment and tasting notes together.

RECORD AND REPEAT YOUR BREWS

Log your dose, water or beverage weight, grind setting, temperature, brew time, ratings and flavour notes. Add photos, save favourites and use a previous brew as the starting point for your next adjustment. Choose which fields you see so your journal fits the way you make coffee.

GET TO KNOW YOUR COFFEES

Organise your beans by roaster, origin, variety, process, roast date and tasting notes. Track how much coffee you have left, keep the history of finished coffees and manage frozen portions. Record gifts, waste and stock corrections separately from the coffee you brew.

EXPLORE YOUR ROASTERS

Browse profiles showing the coffees you have logged from each roaster, along with your brews, ratings, origins, purchased quantities and spending. Rediscover past coffees and see which roasters you keep coming back to.

BRING MORE DETAIL TO YOUR BREWING

Use the timer and pouring assistant to follow your filter recipes. Record blooms and pours, explore extraction curves and compare brews. If you measure TDS, save your readings and explore extraction yield and sensory trend charts.

ORGANISE YOUR EQUIPMENT AND WATER

Keep track of brewing methods, grinders, settings and accessories. Save water profiles and use the remineralisation calculator to create and keep your water recipes.

TASTE AND COMPARE

Run cupping sessions with multiple cups, record scores and tasting impressions, and compare the results. Try blind cupping too: rate your cups before identifying the coffees.

DISCOVER YOUR COFFEE YEAR

Explore your journal's statistics and look back at each year through your brewing habits, methods, origins and standout coffees. View monthly and annual spending, your most and least expensive coffees per kilogram, and estimated costs per brew. Available insights depend on the information you have recorded.

CONNECT COMPATIBLE EQUIPMENT

Add readings and curves with supported BOOKOO and DiFluid Bluetooth scales, the DiFluid R2 refractometer and the BOOKOO Espresso Monitor pressure sensor. You can also view and import Meticulous shots. No connected equipment is needed to use the journal.

SHARE AND KEEP YOUR HISTORY

Share brews as text or images, create personal sharing templates and exchange coffee profiles using QR codes or files. Import your history from BeanConqueror and create backups of your journal and photos.

Your journal is stored on your device. HolyBeans is available in English and Spanish, with light and dark themes.
