CairnRoaming turns the map around you into a game board.
Draw an area, and CairnRoaming scatters capture points across the real world — parks, streets, trails, hilltops. To claim a point, you have to actually go there. Get within range, hold your ground for a few seconds, and it's yours. The harder-to-reach points are worth more.
It's part treasure hunt, part territory race, played entirely on foot.
How a game works
• A host draws a boundary on the map and picks how long the game runs.
• Points are generated across that area, graded from easy to extreme by how far off the beaten track they sit.
• Players join with a code or QR scan — no account needed to jump in.
• Walk, jog or hike to each point. Some high-value ones ask for a photo to prove you made it.
• The leaderboard updates live as points fall. Highest score when the clock runs out wins.
Features
• Play solo or race friends in the same session
• Team mode for larger groups
• Difficulty tiers that reward exploring further
• Live leaderboard and session chat
• Works offline — captures sync automatically when your signal returns
• Light and dark themes built for reading a screen in bright sun
Good to know
CairnRoaming uses your location during a game to verify captures, and the camera for QR join codes and photo points. It's designed for walking pace and open spaces — always watch your surroundings and stay off private land.
