Plan a simple straight stair run with confidence before detailed design begins. StairWise turns rise, preferred riser, available space, tread, nosing and width measurements into an easy-to-read geometry estimate.

Switch between metric and imperial units, choose whether to use tread depth or fit the run to available space, and see riser count, actual riser height, tread count, effective going, total run, stair angle, approximate stringer length and tread material with waste.

StairWise works privately and offline. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Entries stay on your device and are not saved; only your theme preference is stored locally.

Results are planning estimates. Stair design involves structural and safety requirements that vary by location. Always confirm dimensions, headroom, landings, guards, handrails and local code compliance with a qualified professional before construction.
