The Uniguard 8 is the result of over 50 years of dedicated development and improvement in the field of duct smoke detectors by Calectro. Since the goal of smoke detection is primarily to detect smoke in ventilation ducts as early as possible in order to be able to implement countermeasures, very high sensitivity even for small amounts of smoke in the duct is of the utmost importance.

But the system must also be able to distinguish quickly and precisely between a false alarm activated by, for example, matos and a genuine alarm. Uniguard 8 has, in addition to world-leading smoke detection, several functions to help and simplify the life of the user throughout the product's lifetime, from installation to service. Tool-free opening of the enclosure lid, electrical installation with spring terminals for faster installation and clear indication of the system's status via bright LED lights are some of the improvements that Uniguard 8 delivers.

Another novelty in Uniguard 8 is the patented rotation detail that makes the installation of the smoke detector easier as it can be turned up to 360 degrees around the rotation detail, for easier installation in tight spaces.
