About this app

QRYPT is a serverless messenger: end-to-end encrypted messages, voice calls and video calls that travel directly from one device to the other. Fully secure device-to-device communication, set up only with a two-way QR scan.

NO ACCOUNT
Your identity is created on your device and never leaves it. No phone number, no email, no password.

CONTENT NEVER TOUCHES A SERVER
Messages, voice and video go straight between the two devices. No copy is stored or read anywhere in between.

PAIRED BY TWO QR SCANS
Only devices that paired face to face can talk to each other:
1. You tap Share QR. An invite QR valid for 5 minutes appears on your screen.
2. The other person taps Scan QR and scans your invite.
3. Their screen shows a reply QR.
4. You scan their reply QR. You're connected.
Both screens then show the same confirmation code, so you know the connection is directly between the two of you.

A KEY UNIQUE TO EACH HANDSHAKE
Everything is encrypted between the two devices. The key is created the moment the devices shake hands and belongs only to that pairing: a separate key for every contact, and separate keys derived from it for every call.

WHILE BOTH OF YOU ARE ONLINE
QRYPT connects when both devices are open. Messages written while the other side is offline are kept on your own device and delivered automatically when you reconnect.

• App lock with Face ID / fingerprint and an optional app PIN; 30 wrong PIN attempts erase the keys

HOW DEVICES FIND EACH OTHER AGAIN
When the app is reopened, two paired devices exchange their new network addresses through a small encrypted mailbox. It cannot read what it carries, does not know who you are or who you talk to, and forgets everything within 3 minutes. Your conversations never pass through it.

SUBSCRIPTION
QRYPT requires a purchase to use: Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime (one-time purchase). Monthly and Yearly start with a 1-week free trial for new subscribers: the store verifies your payment method and charges nothing until the trial ends; cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings. Refunds follow the Apple App Store and Google Play refund policies.
