It's good in that it let's you set your goal limits for everything, but that's it. It's not always accurate in how much sodium, sugar, or saturated fat are actually in a food. Multiple times it has tried to add way more of something than it should. Yes, I am using the portions part correctly. I'm frustrated because I paid money for this to be inaccurate and there is no help or support in the app. If everything was accurate, I would rate higher.
