About this app

Contacto is a small helper that floats over whatever you are doing while you are on a call, so you can save a note, set a follow-up or label the person without leaving the app you were in. And a phone app and call log built around it.

It works with the phone app you already use. Allow your call history and your calls are there; making Contacto your default phone app is optional, a setting, not a wall.

THE HELPER: A NOTE WITHOUT LEAVING THE CALL
While you are on a call, a small capsule sits at the edge of the screen. Tap it for:
- Quick note: type it while you are still talking
- Reminder: a follow-up for tomorrow at 10, in one or three hours, or next week
- Label: the groups and statuses you have set up, ready to pick
- Message on: a chat with the number in WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business or SMS, no saved contact needed
A note and its reminder go in one save. Drag the helper to either edge or flick it away; when idle, it tucks itself aside. The note lands on the call in your call log.

THE MOMENT AFTER YOU HANG UP
Turn on after-call notes, and a card comes up for 15 seconds when a call ends, with what you will want and won't go back for: a quick note, a voice note, a reminder, a label. It skips missed calls, and you can silence it for any number.

VOICE NOTES
Say it instead of typing it: a voice note of up to two minutes, from the after-call card or any call's page. It is your own voice, after the call; Contacto never records the call itself.

WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW
One tap shows what you have saved about the person: their status and groups, your last note and the next reminder you owe them. Open their contact, message them, copy the number or add the follow-up to your calendar, mid-call.

A REAL PHONE DIALER, IF YOU WANT ONE
- Make Contacto your default phone app any time, in the More tab
- T9 smart search on the keypad, in English and Arabic: type a name the way you would text it
- Speed dial: hold a key from 2 to 9 on the keypad to call
- In-call controls: mute, speaker, hold, Bluetooth, conference, keypad
- Dual SIM with per-call SIM selection
- Incoming call screen that shows your last note about the caller
- Press and hold any call or contact, then tap WhatsApp

FIND ANY CALL
- One search bar across names, numbers, notes and labels
- Typo-tolerant: close enough still finds it

WHAT EACH PERMISSION IS FOR
- Call history: to show your calls and hang your notes and reminders on them. This is the app's main screen.
- Contacts: names instead of numbers, and search by name
- Phone: to dial from the keypad, and to know when a call starts and ends
- Display over other apps: so the helper can float while you are on a call
- Caller ID & spam (call screening): only so the helper can see who is calling when another app handles the call. Nothing is blocked or changed.
- Microphone: only for a voice note, when you tap Voice note
- Notifications: reminders, and the helper's own quiet notification during a call
Decline any of them and the rest still works.

- Anonymous usage stats and crash reports help us fix the app. They never include your calls, contacts or notes, and usage stats turn off in Settings.
