About this app

The municipality of Valsot in the Lower Engadine impresses with an intact landscape with diverse natural and cultural values. The Valsot app is a digital hiking guide that takes you to exciting places with stories, information and a detailed map.
Information points on history, culture, nature, use and changes in the landscape can be found along hiking trails and are just waiting to be discovered by you hiking.

There are several ways to find the information points:
* Open the app when you are in the municipality of Valsot. The «NEARBY» function shows you the information points in your area. Distance information and a map help to find the exact locations
* Come locally to the municipality of Valsot and start marching! The app automatically announces itself with an acoustic signal (cuckoo!) at exciting places and you discover what fascinating observations you can make from the hiking trail.
* You can also consult the content and information points of the app from home and plan your stay in Valsot.
* Be inspired by the random number generator: it brings you surprisingly closer to different facets of Valsot.

The first time you start the app, you must be online.
All content of the app is loaded onto your smartphone when you download it and when you start the app for the first time. This guarantees that the app also works offline and that you always have all the content available - because there is no internet connection in many places in the national park.
