About this app

EngineSim uses your electric vehicle's electricity consumption data to estimate a virtual RPM and generates realistic engine sounds. It works within your car's media player and offers detailed customization, 12 different sound options, and automatic or manual gear simulation.

✅ COMPATIBLE with XC40 Recharge, EX40, C40, EC40, EX30, EX90, Polestar 2, T8 Recharge Pure Mode, T8 Recharge Hybrid Mode (with less accuracy), and many more Volvo/Polestar vehicles!

⚠️ NOT COMPATIBLE with Polestar 3. If your car isn't listed here, you can try EngineSim and ask for a refund if you have compatibility issues.

Features:

🎶 Many Sound Options: Choose among 10 realistic engine sounds, or 2 synthesized ambient sounds. Easily switch between options while driving.

⚙️ Fully Configurable: Change parameters like motor power, idle power usage, max RPM, min RPM, and RPM smoothing option to increase the accuracy & realism further.

🕹️ Gear Simulation: Configure the app to simulate virtual gears. The estimated RPM will respond to virtual upshifts & downshifts and become reactive to vehicle speed. You may also try manual shifting via the steering wheel buttons.

🎯 Optimized for Volvo EVs: EngineSim is explicitly designed for Volvo vehicles. UI and estimation algorithms are compliant with most Volvo infotainment systems running AAOS.

🛡️ Completely Offline: EngineSim doesn't require an internet connection, and stores none of your personal data.
