About this app

At Motive Financial (Motive) we understand you’re always on the move. Now, your money can move with you with Motive Financial’s mobile app. Get up-to-date account balances, view transactions, pay bills, and transfer money all from the convenience of your mobile device.

Motive Mobile is compatible with Android operating systems 4.1 and higher. To use the app, you must be signed up for Motive Financial Online Banking. If you have lost your online banking personal access code, phone Motive at 1-877-441-2249. Your login information for Motive Mobile is the same as for your Motive Online Banking.

With Motive Financial’s mobile app, you can:
• Quickly view your account balances
• Manage multiple accounts
• View previous and upcoming transactions
• Pay bills and transfer money now or schedule future payments
• Send and receive Interac® e-Transfers
• Find nearby ATMs

To use Motive Mobile, you will need to grant the app permission to access the following functions:
• Approximate location – allows you to use your device’s GPS to find an ATM. This can be turned off after the app installation by turning off the phone’s GPS.
• Full network access – allows Motive Mobile to connect to the Internet so you can do your mobile banking.
• Take pictures and videos – Motive Mobile does not currently have remote deposit capability, but permission to take photos and video is required to allow the app to download.

I opened this account for a 52 week savings challenge. It has been least innovative and creative experience using this banking app. It practically does nothing other than shows balance. I had to run to a computer to set up the automatic transfers into the account. No biometric, no mobile deposits, no modifications to tenderers can be done within the app. The app is slow, buggy and quite frankly, just way outdated.

Can't login in app. Can't even see the field to enter client number. Garbage app. Have had it installed at least a year and keep hoping for an update but one never comes. Definitely needs biometric login. Someday if I can ever login I hope for at least some kind of basic functionality.

Stopped opening within the past few days. Tried to reinstall without success. Interface isn't very good looking, cant transfer from external accounts in the app, no cheque mobile deposit, bad user interface, doesnt refresh properly after I pay a bill, etc.
