About this app

Poznań, Krakow, Warsaw, Gdańsk, and beyond - Welcome to Canario!

Your personal travel companion. Here you'll find information about ticket inspections, stops, and tram and bus delays. Everything is displayed in real time on a user-friendly map thanks to publicly available city sources! We help you minimize the risk of receiving a ticket on public transport. How you do it—whether you get off or buy a ticket—is entirely up to you. If you fail, it's very possible that your report will save others. Without a valid ticket, you can never be 100% sure you won't get a ticket, so we recommend buying tickets! Whether you have a ticket or not, we encourage you to use the app, as it helps others and provides up-to-date information on all delays.

We display all buses and trams in real time on the map, so you can use Canario as a map of city vehicles, a source of live information about delays and tram and bus breakdowns.

Some of you might be saying we should stop robbing the city—nothing could be further from the truth. Our calculations clearly show that, despite the apparent loss, by using the app, you're not only helping users, but also supporting the city!

Currently, the app is available in the following cities: Poznań, Kraków, Warsaw, and Gdańsk.

If you continue to use Canario and help us develop the project, we promise to provide necessary updates and add more cities and helpful features. Your interest also determines the development of the iOS version, which is almost ready. For now, a web version has been created for iOS users - https://canario.pl/

If you think of something to add, improve, or change while using the app, please let me know. We'll try to listen to as many suggestions as possible. And regarding your privacy, we don't collect any data from your device; we only collect what's most necessary, namely access to your location.

Tap a vehicle to instantly see the risk of a ticket inspection: low, elevated or high. We'll also show you what's behind it, so you know where you stand before you get on board.

Chat got nicer too: typing is smoother, and if a message doesn't go through, you'll see why right away without losing what you wrote.
