Canopy has simplified how you share files and exchange information with your accountant. This app is designed for you, the client. You have likely been invited to the Canopy Client Portal by your tax professional, including access to the Client Portal via your preferred mobile device.

App is glitchy. Push notification is activated, but no notifications pushed. Actionable activities may sit indefinitely until a user opens app again to look for them.

Thanks for calling us out when we fall short. The app does have support for push notifications when your accountant shares a file, sends an invoice, gives you a to-do, requests an eSign, etc. There could be a hiccup or a misconfiguration with your user. Please validate that you have notifications enabled and send further feedback in the app.

I'm not tech savy, nor am I comfortable with it, but I had no issues navigating the Canopy Client app.

Look, I like this app. However it it very inconvenient because I am unable to view ANY documents/files that my CPA puts on the app for me to view. My phone is Galaxy s22 and has Android 13. I recently saw someone else had experienced the same issue, which was resolved? How so? I still seem to have issues. Yes, I have scoured through my phone and app settings to see if I missed something. I have given the app every single permission possible. Yet it still tells me to allow storage permissions.

Thank you for letting us know. We have been able to track down where we believe this Android 13 permissions issue is coming from. We apologize that we didn't cover every possible situation with the previous release. If you update to 1.12.11, you should be good. Thanks for your patience!
