About this app

Capta Camera lets you record videos and take photos with your voice, without touching your phone.

Say "Capta record" to start, "Capta stop" to finish and "Take photo" to take a picture, before or during a recording. Commands keep working with the screen locked: set your phone down, lock it and control everything from a distance.

WHY CAPTA
- Hands-free recording: great for sports, classes, cooking, music, workouts, events and content creation.

- Pré-rec: keeps the 15, 30 or 60 seconds before your command, so you don't miss what just happened.
- On-device voice recognition: your voice is not sent to the internet.
- Photos by voice, even during a video, without stopping the recording (when the mode supports it).
- Lens switching: main 1×, ultra-wide and front camera, when your phone has them.
- Resolution, FPS, HDR and stabilization based on what your phone actually supports.
- No-interruptions mode: silences notifications while Capta is on (requires Do Not Disturb permission).
- External microphone: lavalier, wired, USB or Bluetooth (may vary by phone).
- Sound alerts when recording starts and stops, with adjustable volume, plus an alert if you say "Capta record" while already recording.
- Videos saved to Movies/Capta and photos to Pictures/Capta, ready in your gallery.

LANGUAGES
App in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Portuguese voice commands are included; English and Spanish commands are a free download inside the app.

COMPATIBILITY
Features such as ultra-wide, 60 fps, HDR, stabilization and photos during video depend on each phone's camera. Capta only offers the combinations your phone reports as supported.

What’s new
