About this app

CarbonCapt is an app that helps Cambodian communities measure carbon stock in their protected forests. By purchasing carbon, they can continue preserving the forest for a greener planet. The project was initiated by Oxfam and the Ministry of Environment in 2023.

To enhance community-based carbon measurement in Cambodia by leveraging innovative technology. As part of this effort, the project focuses on developing an application and website called CarbonCapt, specifically designed for carbon stock measurement. By utilizing CarbonCapt, the project intends to contribute to the conservation of community forests and protected areas, while also promoting sustainable livelihoods and climate change-related interventions.
