About this app

"BBQOVN is your right-hand man in the kitchen or on the grill, allowing you to get rid of the kitchen and grill during cooking time and let the app monitor your food for you. When your food is ready, you'll receive audio and message notifications on your smart device. This saves you from having to keep an eye on your food as it cooks, giving you more time to focus on what's most important to you.

Function:
1. Bluetooth wireless connection, the real-time temperature of the probe is displayed in the APP through wireless data transmission.
2. Alarm function:
- When the measured temperature reaches the preset temperature, the mobile phone will automatically alarm and remind.
- Alarm function after disconnection.
- Booster's low battery (less than 20%) alarm reminds users to charge in time.
3. Real-time chart, when the BBQOVN APP cooking setting is completed, you can open the online temperature chart to view the real-time temperature curve.
4. Cooking recording function, when the BBQOVN APP cooking setting is completed, it will automatically enter the timing state, and record the cooking temperature curve after cooking.
5. Cooking adjustment, when the cooking setting is completed, you can adjust the cooking maturity or customize the temperature at any time.

Ratings and reviews

Connected with little to no issues. I did have to reset the booster to get past the Bluetooth part of the app connection for wifi setup. Look for the instructions and charging cord tucked inside the packaging box. Not sure why so many people have issues with this. Doing a turkey tomorrow, we will see how it works with a long cook. I did try it out on a cheese steak egg roll. Worked great! So far, I am very happy with this device.

The thermometer works well and my steaks turn out nearly perfect when I use it. The problem is the app and the thermometer are unusable unless you login. For Memorial day, I tried to use it, but there was a problem with the login, and even after updating the app, restarting my phone, and requesting a new login code that never came, I still couldn't use it- like their servers were down, so it was useless. I bought it, just let me use it without giving you all my personal info.

I bought 2 thermometers and they are both very inaccurate! It's not like they're both off by 10 degrees. They are each off by different amounts every time I have tried to use them. Now that they "updated" the app it stays open for about 10 seconds and then crashes! I don't ever write reviews but this is one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made!
