SMS & Call Log Permissions
Our app requires SMS and call log permissions to provide the core functionalities of One-Time Password (OTP) verification and automated transaction detail extraction. These permissions are needed for the core functions of the app, without these permissions, the app is “broken” or rendered unusable.
We use the call log permissions solely to initiate the call to the short code necessary for receiving the OTP. This is an essential step in the OTP retrieval process.
We use this permission to display the OTP code directly within the app, allowing for seamless verification and also extracting transaction details (e.g., transaction ID) from SMS messages related to user transactions. This enables automated tracking and management of user transactions within the app.
Important: We do not transfer, share, or license this data for any other purpose, including advertising, marketing, or improving other apps or services.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
CashCount uses Android's Accessibility Service to automate mobile money USSD transactions (Cash In, Cash Out, Airtime, Data, Pay To).

DATA ACCESSED:
• USSD dialog text content (menu options, prompts like "Enter amount", "Enter PIN")
• Customer name displayed in USSD confirmation prompts
• Transaction fee information shown in USSD dialogs
• Confirmation messages from your mobile network
• USSD button labels (e.g., "Send", "OK", "Cancel")

HOW THIS DATA IS USED:
• To automatically type transaction details (phone number, amount, reference, merchant ID) into USSD input fields
• To automatically tap buttons to navigate through USSD menus
• To extract customer name for your local transaction records
• To read transaction responses and confirm success or failure

DATA HANDLING:
• All data is processed locally on your device
• No data is stored, collected, or transmitted to external servers
• No personal information is shared with third parties

WHEN THIS SERVICE IS ACTIVE:
• Only when you initiate a USSD transaction
• Only monitors the system phone dialer app (com.android.phone)
• Does not run in the background
• Does not access any other apps, messages, passwords, or personal data

You can disable this service at any time in your device's Accessibility Settings.
