What is softPOS?

softPOS by Cashfree Payments is a FREE Android app that helps businesses collect cash and digital payments. Businesses can add any number of agents who can download the app on their mobile phones and collect payments during delivery or customer visit.

Use the app to generate UPI QR codes on the phone, or let customers Tap & Pay using a card. You can also generate Payment links, that can be shared over Whatsapp or SMS, and get paid instantly.

How is softPOS different from other POS machines?
- No physical device is needed. Download app on any Android phone 6.0 and above and start accepting payments

Note for existing merchants: You can use your existing Cashfree Payments account to access softPOS app. You can ask the account manager to activate softPOS for your business. Or you can activate it yourself by following these steps:

- Login to your Cashfree Payments merchant dashboard (merchant.cashfree.com)
- Head to the softPOS module from the left panel
- Click on ‘Request Activation to activate your softPOS account

Once your softPOS is approved,
- You can click on the Add agent in the top right corner
- Add their names and mobile numbers respectively
