About this app

This app is for advanced users to set the roaming threshold. You can force your device to only connect to 2.4G or 5G. Or set the roaming parameter such that it always attempt to connect to a good network or only roam to another network when signal is weak.

In order for this app to function please run the following ADB command:
adb shell pm grant com.catech.wifiroamconfig android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

***UPDATE***
For Android 13 or above

You might get "grantRuntimePermission Security Exception"

To solve this security exception problem, go to Developer Options and scroll down until you find "USB debugging (Security settings)". Enable it and the issue should be resolved. Entry: The minimum scan RSSI for making a connection attempt.

Below Bad: The RSSI value at which the connection is deemed to be unusable, in the absence of other indications.

Between Good and Low: A connected RSSI value that indicates the connection is good enough that we needn't scan for alternatives.

Above Good: Returns a connected RSSI value that indicates a good connection.

Ratings and reviews

This app seems to work well for 2.4 and 5ghz access points. Would be 5 start if I could also tweak the 6ghz band to get it to roam between 6ghz access points more aggressively. Aside from that, it works well though!
