The latest maintenance update made my device un-binded and since I live abroad and don't have cathay ATM or branches (just a representative office), I can only view my balance cause I am not able to change my phone number through the app or video teller due to this service being exclusive to Taiwanese. I think they try to attract foreigners to the app but once you leave Taiwan the bank is too restricted.

No English support at all. This is unacceptable for a modern banking app. Multi-language support is a basic feature, especially for users who live in Taiwan but do not read Chinese fluently. AI tools can help prepare translations very quickly, so the issue is not translation difficulty—it is poor product planning and execution. The bank should hire developers or product people who understand proper language and region support.

Terrible customer service and app optimization. for over a week I was not able to log into my account and then finally I decided to delete and reinstall the app. up on doing so I had to reset my banking credential password. The problem is that as a foreigner we have to go through either an ATM or a local cafe bank in order to do this well the option is clearly in the app for the local people to do this within the comfort of their home. just another bank who treats foreign citizens like criminals
