Cavern Post Walkers is an offline routing puzzle about a crowd you cannot steer.
Walkers step out of a hatch at a steady beat and march straight ahead. They turn at walls, they walk off ledges, and they never take an order about where to go. The only thing you control is the world they walk through, and the only way to change it is to hand one single walker a job.
SEVEN JOBS, ONE TAP EACH
- Blocker plants itself and turns the whole column back.
- Digger tunnels straight down through soft rock.
- Miner cuts a slanted tunnel down and forward.
- Basher cuts a level tunnel straight ahead.
- Bridger lays a short run of planks across a gap, then walks on.
- Climber is a permanent trait and scales vertical walls.
- Floater is a permanent trait and drifts down safely from any height.
Every route states how many of each job you are allowed and how many walkers have to reach the arch. The allowance is always tighter than you would like, so the real question is never which job, it is which walker, and exactly when.
A DESTRUCTIBLE CROSS-SECTION
The cavern is built from bedrock, soft rock and planks you lay yourself. Cut a shaft and the whole column pours into it. Bash a seam and everyone behind you follows the tunnel. Plank a gap facing the wrong way and you have built a road to nowhere. Nothing resets between decisions: the cavern you carve is the cavern the rest of the column has to walk.
TWELVE HAND-BUILT ROUTES
From a first walk-out that needs no jobs at all, through a shaft, a seam, a plank run and a slant cut, to a finale that wants a bridge, a cliff and a very steady hand.
BUILT TO BE FAIR
- A speed control and a hold key, so you can stop and think before you tap.
- A rewind that replays your own recorded decisions rather than guessing, because the simulation is completely deterministic.
- Every route ships with a recorded plan you can read whenever you are stuck.
- A walker who does not make it simply puffs out of the level. Nothing worse than that ever happens here.
WHAT THE POST REMEMBERS
Routes cleared, walkers saved out of every walker that ever left the hatch, your save rate, a ledger of which jobs you actually reach for, perfect clears with nobody lost, and eight awards to chase.
Everything on screen is drawn on the fly from flat shapes and ledge shadows. There are no image files, no music and no voice anywhere in the app.
Completely offline. No internet connection, no adverts, no analytics, no accounts, no purchases, and no sound at all. Feedback is visual, with an optional haptic tick you can switch off. Your progress is stored on your own device and survives a restart.
