About this game
Thorne and Fang is an asymmetric, turn-based strategy board game inspired by the ancient Hnefatafl tradition.
One side hunts the King. The other must protect him and find a path to safety.
Every move changes the balance.
THE DEFENDERS
Protect the King, coordinate your pieces and break through the surrounding attackers. Reach one of the four corner forts to escape.
THE ATTACKERS
Surround the King, control the board and close the trap. Every opening can become a weakness.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Both sides play on the same board, but fight for completely different objectives.
The attackers have the numbers.
The defenders have the King.
The central throne and corner forts create special tactical positions, while the open 11×11 battlefield gives pieces room to maneuver, sacrifice and surround.

Pieces move horizontally and vertically across the board. Capture opposing pieces by surrounding them between two friendly pieces or against special board squares.

Escape.
