CBF-Driver is the official driver app for the CBF freight tracking platform. It lets commercial truck drivers share their real-time GPS location with their dispatcher and the customer's broker during active freight deliveries.
KEY FEATURES
- Simple load entry — Enter the load number assigned by your dispatcher and start tracking with one tap.
- Live location sharing — Your GPS position is shared with your dispatcher every 5 minutes while a load is active. The dispatcher and the freight customer can see your live progress on a map.
- Pause anytime — Tap "Pause" during breaks or when off-duty. Tracking resumes when you tap "Resume."
- Multi-leg relay support — Hand off long-haul loads to relay drivers. Each leg is logged separately.
- Offline resilience — If you lose cell signal, your location pings are queued locally and uploaded when you reconnect.
- Battery-aware design — Updates every 5 minutes (not constantly), and stops automatically when the load is delivered.
PRIVACY FIRST
- Tracking only happens while a load is actively assigned to you. Outside of active loads, the app does NOT track your location.
- You can pause or end tracking at any time.
- Location data is encrypted in transit and only shared with the dispatcher and freight customer associated with each load.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from the Account screen.
WHO IS THIS FOR
- CBF-Driver is for commercial truck drivers working with carriers that use the CBF freight tracking platform. To use this app, your dispatcher must invite you via email. You'll receive a magic link to set up your account.
PERMISSIONS
- Location (always) — required to share your GPS position with the dispatcher during active deliveries.
- Notifications — required to keep tracking running in the background.
- Battery optimization exemption — required for reliable tracking on long routes.
