Drive Smarter enhances your driving experience when you are using select* connected Cobra and Escort devices.

Drive Smarter lets you use your smartphone as a companion to your DashCam.

A streamlined onboarding process lets you quickly connect your Dash Cam and configure it as part of your dashboard. You can "add" a virtual vehicle to your account, then add compatible* Cobra and Escort branded devices to your vehicle.

Users with mobile WiFi hotspots** can optionally connect their cameras directly to the Drive Smarter cloud, to avail of instant upload of videos and to share time-sensitive data and event information.

View recordings stored on your Dash Camera SD card; recordings are conveniently sorted by timeline which highlights events of importance; such as possible collisions or impact. Select files to download to your phone; trim video clips and share with your contacts using your favorite communications app.

This app is a big downgrade from Escort Live. It's slow and buggy as hell. Map icon is all over the place, frequently disconnects from my redline, it will duck your music for going 1 mph over the speed limit no matter how much you change settings that are supposed to prevent that, the persistent notification that the app is running is annoying AF and you can't disable the notifications because then the app won't let you do anything until you enable them again, no longer have the dashboard view.

Meh. Not all that convenient. I need to start the app on the phone before Android Auto recognizes it. It doesn't automatically start like every other app. Then fiddle with the view and traffic settings. Every single time. And the over speed limit setting doesn't works. Only option to silence that is turning ALL audio warnings off. Which is why I want it on Android Auto to begin with. Why would I want warnings on my detector, Android Auto AND phone? That negates any Android Auto functionality.

Escort has some good detectors I have the Max360 MK11 firmware ver 1.4 (not the C version) but the Drive Smarter app is garbage. How can a company that makes great radar detectors make such an awful app. It never seems to maintain a bluetooth connection to the detector. Sometimes when it does connect, the car Icon is 50 yards from the road. I constantly have to keep reconnecting the detector to my Samsung phone. Sometimes it connects but no information is shared between the app and detector
