Drive Smarter enhances your driving experience when you are using select* connected Cobra and Escort devices.

Drive Smarter lets you use your smartphone as a companion to your DashCam.

A streamlined onboarding process lets you quickly connect your Dash Cam and configure it as part of your dashboard. You can "add" a virtual vehicle to your account, then add compatible* Cobra and Escort branded devices to your vehicle.

Users with mobile WiFi hotspots** can optionally connect their cameras directly to the Drive Smarter cloud, to avail of instant upload of videos and to share time-sensitive data and event information.

View recordings stored on your Dash Camera SD card; recordings are conveniently sorted by timeline which highlights events of importance; such as possible collisions or impact. Select files to download to your phone; trim video clips and share with your contacts using your favorite communications app.

Take advantage of streamlined reports generated for insurance claims processing.

Get help using the in-built Mayday services that are automatically triggered in severe collisions - send details regarding your current situation to a designed in-case-of-emergency contact.

UPDATE: I updated (again) to the latest version and some things have improved but it's still a huge problem getting a connection on start up. You can try to unpair the Bluetooth in your phone but even that doesn't always fix it. I've actually reached my destination and the app still hasn't connected to my detector! If you're using an Escort detector, not a Cobra, switch back to Escort Live Radar. I can't use the dashcam with this app but at least it connects. 😒.

Developers/Product Management - why does this *really* need location access ALL THE TIME? Not cool. Map functionality needs some work. Disappointed after purchasing a new 360c and finding that the old Escort Live app was actually better in a few areas. I get alerts for cameras, speed traps and live radar that aren't along my route (e.g., off in a neighborhood I'm passing on the highway). Can't recommend until permissions are limited and mapping/routing is improved.

Complete garbage app, requires every permission available just to use it even though there's zero reason it would ever need to access contacts, and photos and video on your device. You can't turn off your location, you can't turn off notifications for the app. Your battery will drain faster than hardcore gaming!!! Oh and constant crashing and disconnects.
