Connecting takes a long time. Every time this app is launched, it has to rescan for the plugs, even though it should just remember them. The UI is quite poor. Basic functionality like switching, fetching data and exporting works, but doesn't seem extremely reliable.

!!! WARNING !!! Read before you buy! I have 6 SEM6000 devices monitoring several of house appliances. I really like how much info they provide via the app, however devices have one big issue: when a blackout happens and after a power returns, devices stop recording a power consumption. However, they continue with recording once they have been accessed via the app. This is a big problem because it can pass several days before I access them via the app and in the mean time, all data for those days is lost. Could you please fix this ASAP? If it helps, all devices have Firmware version 1.13 and Voltcraft is Ver.3.5. EDIT Update (21.03.2021.): DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Even after several updates (devices are currently on firmware 1.17), there are still unsolved problems! Devices crash every few days randomly, and when they do, you cannot connect with them unless a devices is physically unplugged and plugged back in. And while they are crashed, they do not record power consumption! Further more, on each power loss, they don't record power consumption until you connect with them via phone, and that means it could go for days before you notice they need to be either restarted or accessed via phone! Quite pathetic. Lastly, they still don't provide linear scale for power consumption, only logarithmic, which in most cases is useless. Do yourself a favour and avoid this product, it's more of an expensive toy than an useful tool.

Too many apps today are written in a haste, more like an afterthought, and (hence) not thoroughly tested. This one is no exception, and I daresay it hasn't been tested at all (as opposed to "tried"). The first time you search for devices it finds them, and measurements are taken fine. Every next time you open the app, however, all devices are gone or no longer communicate. Solution: physically(!) unplug and re-plug the devices (no, switching off and on again doesn't work). The metering devices seem OK, but the app is utter garbage. Oh, yes, and screen layout isn't adapted to tablets either. Incompetent programmer and incompetent product manager (if not the same person...)
