About Giani Sant Singh Ji Maskeen:

Giani Sant Singh Maskeen was a Sikh Scholar and an expert in theology and well known for his expertise of Gurmat and Gurbani.

Maskeen Ji was born in 1934 at Lakki Marwat (now in Pakistan) to father Kartar Singh and mother Ram Kaur. He had one sister, Sujan Kaur.

He pursued his schooling from Khalsa School (now in Pakistan) and went to Government High School but the turmoil of Partition in 1947, interrupted his education from the Govt. High School.

His family migrated to India and settled in Alwar (Rajasthan) but he could not continue with his studies.

For some time he worked as a railway employee.

In 1958 he was married to Sunder Kaur and made Alwar his permanent home.

He had three sons and two daughters.

Maskeen Ji ended their life journey to Heaven on 18 February 2005 due to a massive heart attack while attending a marriage in Etawah in Uttar Pradesh, India.

He was given the title of Panth Ratan for his services to mankind through the message of Gurbani.

There are bugs in this app I think.. When I pause the audio and go to home. It just stopped audio.. And I have to play that particular audio again.. Which is really annoying.. And the most horrible thing is THIS APP DOESNT HAVE ANY SEARCH OPTION.... PLEASE PLEASE IMPROVE THIS APP... PLEASE... 🙏 because beside these problems still this is my favourite app.. 😍😍😍

Good app, needs improvements. l feel many people would pay for this app if it can be improved! The following upgrades will make it a 5-star paid app: 1) Remove ads ; 2) Properly index* or tag the recordings, and make the display sortable & searchable 3) Make the app more user friendly, e.g. remember last heard location on app exit *Recordings should be indexed by at least 2 types of tags a) name of the Bani and/or Subject; and b) original date of recording when Maskeen Ji did the Katha.

Thankyou for making this gyan treasure available for all to benefit. Please see if you can provide..1. Index to group katha in bani groups. 2. Pause and restart from same point even when the app is closed and restarted.
