About this app
Audloop is a local player for intensive listening — the kind where you go back to the same spot until you finally catch it.
Import any audio or video file from your phone. Audloop parses the speech on your device and splits it into sentences, then lets you work through a recording one sentence at a time.
SENTENCE LISTENING
• Previous, repeat and next move by sentence, so you never have to hunt for the spot on the seek bar
• Replay the sentence you just missed without finding it first
PLAYBACK
• Rewind and forward by 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 seconds
• Double-tap the left or right half of the video to jump back or forward
• Speed from 0.25x to 2.0x — slow enough to follow, fast enough to review
• Picks up from where you left off last time
PARSING
• Parsing runs entirely on your device. Your audio is never sent anywhere.
• The speech model downloads once from Google Play (about 161 MB), then works offline
• Parsing continues while you use the app; leave the player and a notification tells you when it finishes
• Queue several files and pause or cancel any of them — parse tasks have their own page
• Audio and video both work; for video, Audloop reads the audio track
YOUR FILES STAY YOURS
• Files are opened read-only. They are never copied, moved or uploaded.
• The sentences produced by parsing stay in a private database inside the app
• No account, no ads, no advertising identifier, and no social or profiling SDK
• The only things that leave your phone are the feedback you choose to send, a few anonymous usage events, and a crash report if the app crashes
