About this game

Character Companion 5.5: a new kind of interactive character app for tabletop roleplaying under the 2024 rules. Highlight: interactive dice rolling with every bonus (and penalty).
Guided character creation with explanations, simple character management and intuitive use during play for smooth game nights. No tedious arithmetic when rolling, and your character's specific rules are shown where they apply.

ROLL WITHOUT LOOKING UP OR ADDING UP
Attack, damage, saving throw and skill check, each with a single tap, for a fully calculated result. We use all of your character's scores and abilities. Features such as advantage, disadvantage and spells can be selected on top and are applied to the roll. No page-flipping, no mental arithmetic, no rulebook.

CAST SPELLS - WITH EVERY PARAMETER IN ONE TAP
Tap "Cast". The app only asks what it cannot know by itself: which level, which metamagic, which class feature. The app tracks and calculates the rest: the spell slot is gone, the sorcery points are spent, the roll is on screen, concentration is set — and a running concentration spell drops. Twinned means two rolls. Empowered rerolls. Transmuted changes the damage type.

THE APP COUNTS & TRACKS FEATURES, CHARGES, ETC.
Rage, focus points, sorcery points, uses, charges, ammunition: how many there are and when they come back is written in the rules — and the app applies it. A short rest refills partly, a long rest fully.

CHARACTER EDITOR - EVERYTHING, ALWAYS
Everything can be changed afterwards: scores, equipment, spell selection, your own content. Every level-up walks you step by step through each new choice and writes it onto the character sheet.

IMPORT YOUR OWN CONTENT & CALCULATE IT INSTANTLY
Your own classes, subclasses, features, weapons, items, spells and resources follow the mechanics of the rules. So the app calculates them the same way: your spell gets its roll, your weapon its dice, and so on. Plus a guided import path for common character features and an optional AI helper that turns the description of a feature straight into working mechanics — not text, but a resource that refills on a rest and a dice roll that is correct.

ON THE BIG SCREEN - PAIRING FOR EASY MANAGEMENT AND IMPORTS
This app on a phone is great, BUT making changes and imports on a laptop with mouse and keyboard via simple PAIRING is even better! Open an address, scan the QR code with your phone — and character and editor appear 1:1 in the browser of a tablet, laptop or PC. No account, no cloud, no internet, no data transfer.

IMPORT + EXPORT
Whatever the app does not offer out of the box can be added via the guided import path for common character features and an optional AI helper! And for pen & paper fans: export a PDF character sheet for every session.

What’s new

New first start: one welcome, then a two-minute tutorial on a practice hero. Sorcerous Burst explodes on its own, Chromatic Orb leaps on doubles. Help & Contact: feedback and change requests by mail. A notice when a newer version is in the Play Store. PC mode: the certificate warning is explained, the QR scanner works in landscape too. The keyboard no longer pops up uninvited. Backup in the Documents folder now also on Android 10. Smaller app, faster start. Swiped away now really means closed.
