ChargeSmart EV is the home of the most innovative, robust and feature-rich cloud-based software platform for managing electric vehicle charging stations, their interaction with utilities and the driver experience.

The ChargeSmart App uses location-based services to allow drivers to easily find, access, and securely pay for EV charging. Drivers can search for and locate elec-tric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.

Start charge sessions simply by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app.

With the ChargeSmart electric vehicle charging app, you can also:


• Monitor your current charge sessions in real-time
• Get phone notifications as soon as your EV is finished charging
• Make secure payments
• Favorite locations that have easy access to your commonly used EV charging stations
• Receive an email receipt of your EV charging transactions
• View a history of past charging sessions
• Report drivers that abuse charging station use

Ratings and reviews

I got to the station, added my card, the qr code did not work, the app was unable to show me the location on the map, I called customer service, wasted 30mins troubleshooting with no fix, was charged $30, and was told to go to a different charging station, all while standing in the cold trying to charge, this was stupid!

I guess this app isn't taking in new clients, because signing up has proven impossible. Won't allow me to move past the password screen in the registration process despite my password meeting all their criteria.

I purposely avoid SmartChargeEV charging stations whenever possible. Every single time it's a hassle to activate. I just spent 25 minutes trying to get three different chargers to activate and ended up leaving with less battery than I arrived with.
