ChargeSmart EV is the home of the most innovative, robust and feature-rich cloud-based software platform for managing electric vehicle charging stations, their interaction with utilities and the driver experience.

The ChargeSmart App uses location-based services to allow drivers to easily find, access, and securely pay for EV charging. Drivers can search for and locate elec-tric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.

Start charge sessions simply by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app.

With the ChargeSmart electric vehicle charging app, you can also:


• Monitor your current charge sessions in real-time
• Get phone notifications as soon as your EV is finished charging
• Make secure payments
• Favorite locations that have easy access to your commonly used EV charging stations
• Receive an email receipt of your EV charging transactions
• View a history of past charging sessions
• Report drivers that abuse charging station use

Ratings and reviews

Charger (Level 2 for my nearest one) works fine though setup is a little too lengthy. Charging station units are not clearly marked on the units So it takes unnecessary time to figure out which of the available units you are trying to plug into. The process is too long compared to other plug-and-charge technologies, especially given that I have the App downloaded and have used this charger before.

I got to the station, added my card, the qr code did not work, the app was unable to show me the location on the map, I called customer service, wasted 30mins troubleshooting with no fix, was charged $30, and was told to go to a different charging station, all while standing in the cold trying to charge, this was stupid!

The app didn't recognize the charger right in front of me. It claimed it was unauthorized, even though the ChargeSmart logo is on the charger. I was down to 5%, and if I followed this app I would have been SOL. Instead I knew the charger worked because I used it before. I tried the app this time to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
