"Chess Clock - Timer" turns your Android smartphone or tablet into a convenient timer for a live game. Place your phone next to the board, select a time control, and start playing. Large, contrasting numbers are clearly visible to both players, and switching moves is as easy as tapping.

The app is suitable for home games, chess clubs, school, training, tournaments, and playing with friends. The chess timer helps you stick to the rules, avoid arguing about the remaining time, and focus on the position.

PREPARED MODES

Choose popular time controls without manual adjustment: Lightning 1+0, Bullet 3+2, Blitz 5+3, Rapid 10+5, Classic 15+10, or Active 30+0. The app also features a countdown delay and Armageddon. The last selected mode is saved and will be ready the next time you launch it.

CREATE YOUR OWN TIME CONTROL

If the predefined options aren't suitable, set up your own chess clock. The starting time and the names of the white and black players are set separately. The increment after each move and the delay before the countdown are the same for both sides.

INCREMENT AND DELAY

The chess timer supports the Fischer increment: after each move, the selected seconds are automatically added to the player's time. The delay mode doesn't deduct the main time during the set interval and displays the remaining time directly on the game screen. The parameters are always visible, so players understand the rules of the game.

ARMAGEDDON

For the deciding game, you can set different starting times for each side. Agree on draw conditions with your opponent. White gets more time, Black gets less, and the mode parameters are saved along with the user settings.

CONVENIENT DURING THE GAME

The game screen displays only the essentials: two large timers, player names, move counters, and a central control button. While paused, you can continue, select a mode, undo the last move, restart, design, and settings. Accidental actions should not disrupt the game: undo is performed safely, and undo returns the previous move.

SOUNDS AND VIBRATION

Choose one of five turn signals and listen to it beforehand. You can enable vibration, minute notifications, a warning about the last ten seconds, and a final countdown. The sound design helps you keep track of time without taking your eyes off the board.

STYLES AND COLORS

The app offers ten contrasting combinations and twelve individual player colors. The design can be customized to match the pieces, the chessboard, or the lighting. In the "Amber and Night" theme, the amber side uses black numbers, and the black side uses bright amber ones. Opponent colors can be customized independently.

PORTRAIT AND LANDSCAPE SCREEN

Use the familiar vertical layout or rotate your device for a wide horizontal layout. Player cards retain uniform spacing, large numbers, and a convenient center button. Orientation can also be fixed in the settings.

GAME HISTORY

The chess timer keeps a brief history of completed games on your device: result, duration, and number of moves. Data and settings are stored locally. Internet access is not required for basic functions.
