Chess Verdict is a chess training app that teaches you how to evaluate a position like in a real game.
Here, there are no hints:
you do not know whether there is a winning combination… it is up to you to judge.
🧠 1. Evaluate the position
Before making a move, choose your verdict:
White wins
Draw
Black wins
Just like in a real game, you must decide:
👉 Who is better? Is the position winning, losing, or equal?
♟️ 2. Prove your verdict on the board
Once you have made your choice, you must prove it by playing:
White wins → you play White
Black wins → you play Black
Draw → you defend the more difficult side
There is no ready-made solution:
👉 you have to find the right moves by yourself
🔁 3. Realistic (and tricky) positions
Most puzzles come in two versions:
one where the tactic works
one where it fails because of a defensive resource
👉 As a result, you cannot guess
👉 you really have to calculate and evaluate
⚖️ 4. Adjust your judgment
At any time, you can:
Start over with the same verdict
Change your verdict and replay the position
⚠️ Changing your verdict costs points (Elo),
but less than sticking with a wrong evaluation
🎯 Why Chess Verdict is different
Unlike classic puzzles:
❌ No hint that “there is a winning move”
❌ No obvious theme
✅ You think like in a real game
✅ You train your judgment, not just tactics
