Chiccen Road is a vertical arcade experience set in a dense cyberpunk city glowing with neon signs and synthetic light. The game is built around a simple but precise core mechanic: upward movement, height progression, and score persistence based solely on player performance.
The player controls a mechanical chicken-cyborg equipped with a single laser eye. The character automatically moves upward by jumping across illuminated neon shields suspended in the city skyline. Each successful jump raises the character higher, increasing the total distance traveled. The game measures progress strictly in meters, forming the only scoring metric used throughout the experience.
In Chiccen Road, the main objective is to climb as high as possible without falling. Every session is a single continuous attempt where the achieved height is calculated at the end of the run. If the final result is greater than zero, the value is saved in the records screen, allowing players to track their best climbs over time.
The game is designed to respect player focus and session flow. When the application is minimized or the player switches to another app, the game automatically pauses and displays a pause window. Returning to the game requires the player to manually close the pause window before continuing, ensuring no progress is lost unintentionally.
Chiccen Road follows a clean arcade structure with no hidden systems or secondary mechanics. The cyberpunk theme, neon visuals, and mechanical character design work together to support a focused vertical gameplay loop where timing, positioning, and consistency define success.
