About this app

chiptoy turns a chat with your own AI into a real Game Boy game.

Connect ChatGPT or Claude to chiptoy once, then just ask: "make a space shooter with three levels", "add a boss", "make the jump higher". Your AI writes the code, chiptoy builds a real ROM on its servers, runs it, and shows your AI the result so it can fix what it sees. You play every version right here on your phone.

WHAT YOU CAN MAKE
• Game Boy Color, Game Boy and NES games, built as real ROM files
• Pixel art, pictures from your own images, music and sound effects when you ask for them
• Every saved version kept, with the request that made it, so you can go back any time

PLAY
• A touch gamepad made for phones: the d-pad follows your thumb, every finger works on its own
• Saves are kept per game and follow you across devices

SHARE
• Share a game with a short link: anyone can play it, no sign-in needed
• Choose whether others can see its source code
• Browse games other people shared

YOUR AI, YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
chiptoy works with the AI you already use, through an MCP connector. There is no API key to set up and no AI cost on chiptoy: the model runs on your own ChatGPT or Claude plan.
