About this app

ChocksOff runs the paperwork side of a shared airplane: who has it, what is due on it, what is wrong with it, and who owes what. This is the Android app for chocksoff.com, built for aircraft owners, partnerships, flying clubs and flight schools.

The core platform is free. No per-seat fees, and no credit card to sign up. You need a ChocksOff account, and you can create one in the app. Unlimited aircraft, members and instructors at every tier.

SCHEDULE
- Book an aircraft, and an instructor if you need one. Every booking checks the aircraft, the instructor and any priority holder before it saves.
- Month, week and day views, with an hourly view per aircraft and per instructor.
- One list of your upcoming bookings across every organization you belong to.
- Priority-booking windows. Holders approve or deny requests inside their window from the app.
- Subscribe the calendar on your phone to your bookings.

LOG A FLIGHT
- Snap a photo of the Hobbs and tach meters and our on-premise AI model drafts the flight log. A reviewer checks the reading against the last one before it posts.
- Or type it in: times, fuel, oil added, passengers and attachments, linked to the booking.
- Reviewers get a queue of pending drafts, oldest flight first, and a push when a new one arrives.

MAINTENANCE AND SQUAWKS
- Inspections, ADs and service items tracked by tach hours and date, per engine and per propeller. A bar turns amber as an item nears due.
- Report a squawk with photos and say whether it grounds the aircraft. Comment threads keep the diagnosis with the squawk.
- Grounding is derived, not a switch. An overdue required inspection or a grounding squawk flips it, and members with bookings hear about it.
- Record compliance and edit maintenance items from the phone.

ENGINE LOGS
- Engine monitor logs show up per flight with critical, warning and caution counts.
- Charts for CHT, EGT, fuel flow, oil temp, oil pressure, RPM and more, with flight phases marked from run-up to shutdown. Scrub one chart and the others follow.
- Alert limits start from a template profile and can be tuned per aircraft.

LOCKBOX CODES
- The code for your current booking is one tap away and shows only while it is valid. The lockbox itself works offline, so the code works with no signal on the ramp.

NOTIFICATIONS
- A push switch and an email switch for every event. Grounding and booking changes always go out.
- Follow one aircraft for maintenance due, new squawks, new bookings and new flight logs without following the whole fleet.
- An inbox keeps every notice you have received.

BILLING
- Unbilled flights and dues appear as they happen, so you can see the next invoice before it exists.
- Admins post credits and charges, including fuel credits with the receipt photo attached.

RUN THE ORGANIZATION
- Invite members by email, assign roles, and manage instructors and their weekly availability.
- Add an aircraft by N-number, with its engines and propellers.
- Aircraft documents with expiration dates. Your documents live on your account, not the club's, so they come with you.
- Upload a scanned logbook and our on-premise AI model pulls dates and times off each page for you to approve, and approved entries become searchable.

Nothing becomes a record until a person accepts it. Our AI model runs on infrastructure ChocksOff owns.
