About this app

Chord ai uses recent advances in artificial intelligence (ai) to give you the chords of any song automatically and reliably. You won't need to look for the chords of a song on the web anymore!

Chord ai listens to the music played from your device, from any video/audio streaming service or played live around you, and detects the chords instantly. Then it shows you the finger positions to play the song on your Guitar, Piano or Ukulele.

It is a great tool for a novice to learn his favorite song and for an experienced musician to transcribe the details of a song when rare chords are played.

In its basic version, Chord AI is able to recognize the following chords:
- major and minor
- augmented, diminished
- 7th, M7th
- suspended (sus2, sus4)

In the Pro version that you can get with just a one-time in-app purchase, Chord ai can recognize thousands of advanced chords using the latest advances in the field of machine learning such as:
- power chords
- half-diminished, dim7, M7b5, M7#5
- 6th, 69th, 9th, M9th, 11th, M11th, 13th, M13th
- add9, add11, add#11, addb13, add13
- 7#5, 7b5, 7#9, 7b9, 69, 11b5, 13b9,
and combinations of the above! (such as 9sus4, min7add13 etc.)

In addition, Chord ai Pro is able to detect chord inversions such as C/E where the third (E) is played as the lowest note, or Am7/G where the seventh (G) is played as the lowest note.

For guitar and ukulele players, Chord ai also comes with a massive library of chord positions.

Chord ai even works offline. You don't need to have an internet connection (unless you want to play a song from some video or audio streaming services).

How does Chord ai work? Chord ai can track the chords of a song in three ways:
1) Through your device microphone. Any song playing around you, or played by your device, is analyzed through your device microphone and the chord positions are shown in real time. You can go back in time and replay the song together with the chords displayed on a timeline.

2) For audio files that you have on your device, Chord ai will process the file in a few seconds chordifies this whole song at once.

3) Chord ai is compatible with the principle audio and video streaming services.

Chord AI has all of the sudden started having problems with me uploading songs longer than 5 and a half minutes, it still does it but warns that the attempt may be unstable. This literally just started last night. (10-9-22) And is there any way to make the app accessible on a laptop from your website? I say all this only because this app is, to me, better than Songmaster or RiffStation....

Thank you for the feedback. This warning with long songs was necessary for some device for which the app would otherwise crash. If you want to use the long version anyways just tap "keep full audio" on the warning message. So far the app is not available for PC hopefully a solution will come up soon

I've never experienced any sort of tab or music app like this. This is absolutey amazing; I'm not sure that I'll ever use another piece of software outside of this to look up tabs as I progress through my music education. If I haven't said it enough yet this is absolutely remarkable technology. I will (with a smile on my face) pay for the premium version that give you gives you the actual tablature instead of just the chord progressions. Great job devs!!! -amateur 🎸 player ET

Very Good but crashes after 20 minutes or so on the free version and the paid version. Kinda annoying if you ask me. Paid $15 for the "pro" version and it crashed halfway through the first song. Really annoying to have to go back through and reset the loop. I like that I can export the chords for each song as a PDF or send the chart to the printer. Expensive, but it does what it says.
