About this app

upScale is for guitarists who are tired of practicing scales without knowing what to do with them.

Most apps show you scale diagrams. upScale makes you play them. Pick a scale, tap a chord and it sustains as a drone, the fretboard lights up with the right notes, and you improvise. Right now, with your guitar in your hands. No theory lesson first, no hours of running patterns up and down the neck. You play, you listen, and your ear learns what each scale and mode really sounds like.

Then you jam on backing tracks by Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry), in the exact scale you're exploring. The fretboard follows the chords, so you always know where the notes that sound good are. More artists and tracks are on the way.
