About this app

A place to write down your day.

Add an event, check off a task, pick today's mood, write a few lines.
Those days add up to a week, and then a year.
Chronobates brings a calendar, a planner and a journal into one app
so you can look back on all of it.

Your records are encrypted on your device. No sign-up, and nothing is sent to a server.


■ Write

- Journal — Add text and photos each day. A single short note is fine too. Past dates stay editable.
- Mood — Pick one mood a day. It builds into a mood journal you can see as a graph.
- Photos — Photos you attach are copied into the app. Deleting the original from your gallery won't erase the memory.


■ Plan

- Calendar — Month, week and year views. Manage events and check your schedule on one screen.
Lunar dates and public holidays (including substitute holidays) are shown together.
- Tasks — A to-do list with tags, subtasks, repeats and due dates. A quick one-line input is always there.
- Routines — Keep daily or weekday habits in their own place.
- Timer — Record what you focused on and for how long.
- Reminders — Get notified at the time you set for events, tasks and routines.


■ Look back

- Reports — Weekly, monthly and yearly: what you did, how much, and whether it went up or down.
Numbers come with a plain sentence, and ratios are hidden when the sample is too small.
- Year in review — Flip through your year as cards, and save it as an image or a PDF booklet.
- PDF export — Pull a report out as a file to keep or print.


■ Works with your phone calendar

- See Google and Samsung events from your phone laid over our calendar.
- Choose which calendars to show.
- Edit a phone event from our screen, or import it into your diary.
- The calendar permission is optional. Everything else works if you decline.


■ Four home screen widgets

■ How your records are kept safe

- App lock — PIN, pattern, or fingerprint and face.
- Database encryption — Records are stored encrypted on your device.
- Encrypted backup — Export to a password-protected file and restore it on a new phone.
- Google Drive backup (optional) — Uploads only to your own Drive app folder.
The file is locked with a password you choose, so neither the developer nor Google can open it.
- 30-day trash — Deleted items can be restored for 30 days.


■ Comfortable to use

- Easy mode — Larger text and three tabs instead of five.
- Dark mode and text size settings.
- Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).


■ Things we'd rather say plainly

- We don't run a server. There's no sign-up, and your records never reach the developer.
We didn't add any analytics SDK either.
- Ads keep the app free. Rewarded ads only play when you tap them yourself.
- You start with one diary. Points you earn by using the app unlock more, one at a time.
- The backup password is never stored anywhere. If you forget it, that backup can't be opened.
