Smartcity Cimahi is an urban development vision to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology in a safe way to manage city assets. These assets include information systems for local government agencies, schools, libraries, transportation systems, hospitals, power plants, water supply networks, waste management, law enforcement, and other community services. Smart cities are aimed at using urban informatics and technology to improve service efficiency.
ICTs allow city officials to interact directly with citizens and city infrastructure and monitor what is happening in the city, how the city is developing, and how to create a better quality of life. Through the use of sensors that are integrated with a real-time monitoring system, data is collected from residents and devices - then processed and analyzed. The information and knowledge gathered is the key to overcoming inefficiency.
The Cimahi City Smart City application is used for internal services and public services to the community. The concept of smart city in Cimahi is based on 6 pillars: Smart Governance, Smart Branding, Smart Economy, Smart Living, Smart Society, and Smart Environment.
