About this app

With the Cineast app for Android TV, you can borrow movies from your library directly from your TV. Choose from a constantly expanding selection of new releases, classics, movies for the youngest viewers, short films, and movies from around the world. The movies are available on your library card for 48 hours after the loan is made. All you need is a library card.

Ratings and reviews

Definitely needs persistent login on TV or at least a quick way to sign in via a QR code or something as well as proper management of previously signed in profiles. The login form can get very unresponsive to TV remote inputs and when it does work (after force-closing and restarting) signing in with full login and password every time is not fun or good UX.

Excellent source of good movies. All it takes is a Swedish library card.

Den fungerar för att visa filmerna, men den är mycket mer primitiv än mobilappen. Förhoppningsvis får den fler finesser med tiden, ty det vore skönt att slippa använda mobilen när man ser på tv. Inloggning fungerar ej för mig och därför har jag ej tillgång till favoriter. Detta fungerar i andra appar, t.ex. SVT Play.
