About this game

Brace yourself for the ultimate Halloween experience!

A storm has unleashed an ancient force within Tallaght Library, bringing hordes of monsters, demons and zombies to life from the pages of the library’s darkest tales. Set free from the constraints of ink and paper, they’ve now entered Parthalán Place (outside the Civic Theatre), and we need your help to in this battle to protect your community.

Presented by SDCC, and grounded on Tallaght’s origins as an ancient burial ground, Tallaween is an exciting new Augmented Reality, First-Person Shooter game that turns Parthalán Place into a Virtual Theme Park.

Inspired by Dante’s Inferno, and featuring an array of enemies from the literary genres of Mythology, Horror and Sci-fi, Players are invited to ‘take up their Wand’ to cast these evil characters back between the covers of their host books. They can also protect themselves with their Shield, but be warned... each enemy enjoys different characteristics and skills, and must be fought in different ways!

There are 10 ‘Portals’ placed around Parthalán Place, with different monsters emerging from each. Also, while the featured characters will roam the square daily from 10am, the particularly ‘nasty’ ones, will only surface between 5pm and 9pm nightly.

So take up your wand and enter the Halloween spirit with this exciting next experience... Happy Tallaween!
