CleanEase looks inside the folders you pick and shows what takes up their space. It finds large files, files unchanged for months, and files with exactly the same content. Deleted files go to a trash first, so you can restore them within 30 days.
YOUR FOLDERS, MEASURED
• Add folders with Android's own folder picker. Suggestions include Documents, Movies and Pictures, plus WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business and Telegram saved files if those apps are installed.
• See each folder's size and file count, measured on your phone. After a week, also see how much it grew in the last 7 days.
FIND WHAT TO REMOVE
• Large files: 10, 50, 100 or 500 MB and up.
• Old files: unchanged for 3, 6 or 12 months.
• By type: documents, archives, APK files, media and other.
• Duplicate files: identical content, even with different names or folders. Each group keeps its earliest copy; the others are preselected for you to review. Nothing else is preselected, and you confirm before anything moves.
A TRASH YOU CAN UNDO
• Deleted files move for 30 days to a hidden folder named .cleanease-trash inside the folder they came from. Restoring puts them back where they were.
• The trash is in the folder you picked, so these files still take up space until you empty it or they expire.
• CleanEase doesn't run in the background: expired items are deleted the next time you open it.
• Uninstalling CleanEase or clearing its data does not delete the files in its trash, and they are no longer deleted automatically. Empty the trash first, or use a file manager later.
• If your Android version can't move a file to trash, CleanEase says so before deleting, and that file can't be restored.
ONLY THE FOLDERS YOU CHOOSE
• CleanEase opens only the folders you pick. Remove a folder in Settings at any time.
• Android doesn't let apps pick the top level of storage, Android/data, Android/obb or the Download folder itself. Phone internal storage only for now; no SD cards, USB drives or cloud storage.
• WhatsApp chats and backups are never listed.
• Scanning for large, old and duplicate files happens entirely on your device. File names, sizes and contents never leave it.
