About this app

ClearDepth is the community safety app built for boaters, anglers, and anyone who spends time on the water.

WHAT IT DOES

ClearDepth crowdsources submerged hazards — stumps, rocks, debris, and shallow areas — and displays them on a live satellite map. As lake levels rise and fall, the depth estimates for every tagged hazard update automatically using real USGS gauge data, so you always see current conditions, not stale snapshots.

KEY FEATURES

📍 GPS-tagged hazard reports from local boaters
Your community marks what the charts don't show: partially submerged stumps, rock piles, sandbars, and debris fields. Each tag records GPS coordinates, hazard type, and the water level at time of report.

📊 Live water level data for 150+ lakes
We pull from USGS stream gauges continuously. Current pool elevation is displayed on every lake so you know exactly how conditions compare to when a hazard was tagged.

⚡ Depth estimates that update in real time
When a hazard was tagged at 915 ft pool and today's level is 913 ft, ClearDepth automatically recalculates how much shallower it is. No manual updates required.

🔔 Proximity alerts for nearby hazards
Turn on notifications and ClearDepth will alert you when a danger-rated hazard is within range — useful when you're moving fast and don't have eyes on the map.

📷 Photo documentation
Attach photos to hazard reports to help other boaters identify exactly what they're dealing with.

💬 Lake chat
Connect with other boaters on your lake. Ask about current conditions, share reports, and get local knowledge before you launch.

⭐ Favorite lakes
Save your home lake and frequent destinations. Favorites sync across your devices so they're always there when you need them.

COMMUNITY-POWERED

Every report is submitted by real boaters who use these same waters. Community votes confirm accuracy or flag outdated reports, so the map stays current and trustworthy.

SAFETY NOTICE

ClearDepth data is crowd-sourced and informational only. It is not a substitute for official navigation charts, sonar, or certified survey data. Always use appropriate navigation tools and operate at safe speeds. You are responsible for your own safety on the water.

ClearDepth is developed by Point 6 LLC.

DATA SOURCE
Water level data is sourced from the U.S. Geological Survey (waterdata.usgs.gov).

DISCLAIMER
ClearDepth is an independent community safety app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any government entity, including the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) or any federal, state, or local agency.
