About this app

ScaffRegister is an offline scaffold inspection register for scaffolding contractors, competent scaffold inspectors and site safety supervisors working to the Work at Height Regulations 2005. It tracks each structure against the UK inspection interval of no more than seven days, records a ten-section inspection checklist with photo evidence, and exports a signed report of inspection carrying the eight particulars Schedule 7 asks for. Handover certificates and tie pull-test records are included. It works with no signal and needs no account.

What it does

• Every structure carries a digital status tag that mirrors the physical tag in the holder. Green is inspected, no recorded defects and inside the interval. Yellow is restricted use or erection in progress. Red is do not use. Overdue and restricted structures appear first.

• The seven-day interval runs per structure, showing the date the current inspection runs out and how many days are left. A reminder the morning before it closes, and another on the last valid day.

• A ten-section scaffold inspection checklist covering foundations, standards, ledgers and transoms, bracing, ties, decking, guardrails, access, loading bays and protection. Each line is passed or flagged, with photographs attached to the record.

• Structural defects force a red status; yellow tags require a written restriction, and green is available only once the checklist is complete.

• Tie pull-test values are recorded against the inspection that took them.

• Records the selected duty class and calculates the corresponding platform load for the entered bay area, in kilonewtons and kilogrammes. Load classes 1 to 6 to EN 12811-1, with the platform width each class permits and a warning when the deck is wider than that.

• Scaffold handover certificates with the duty rating, the tie pull test and both signatures, as a one-page PDF.

• The register exports as a report of inspection carrying the eight Schedule 7 particulars. A United States record layout is also available for general record-keeping.

• Offline. Your inspection records stay on the device unless you share them.

Who it is for

Scaffolding contractors, competent scaffold inspectors, site safety supervisors and principal contractors who need the inspection record to exist and to be produceable.

What it is not

ScaffRegister is a digital inspection register and record-keeping tool. It assists competent persons in logging statutory checks but does not substitute for on-site physical engineering assessments or statutory structural safety sign-offs. It does not design scaffolding, it does not certify anyone as a competent person, and the digital tag does not replace the physical tag on the structure.

The status tag records inspection state, not a guarantee of safety. The United States record layout changes the wording on the export only: the app schedules on a seven-day interval and does not track work shifts, so it does not schedule OSHA pre-shift inspections.
