About this app

WeldProof tracks the six-month continuity clock on the welding processes you
are qualified in, and keeps the dated record that proves you used them.

A welding qualification stays alive for six months from the last time you
welded with that process, not from the day you passed the test. WeldProof runs
that clock, checks whether a given joint was inside a given certificate, and
holds the signed evidence in one place.

WHAT IT DOES

• Six-month continuity clock per welding process, counted from your last
logged production weld
• Applies the wording of the standard each certificate was qualified to.
ASME IX expires after "a period of 6 months or more", so the ticket is gone
on the anniversary. AWS D1.1 says "exceeding six months", so it is still
valid that day
• Counts a weld with the process toward every certificate you hold for that
process, which is how ASME IX and AWS D1.1 define continuity
• Runs the clock from the qualification test date when no production weld has
been logged yet, and says so on screen
• Checks each joint against the ranges you entered from your certificate:
material group, position, thickness, and minimum diameter on pipe tickets
• Reports inside the ticket, outside the ticket, or not enough data, and never
reports not enough data as inside
• One-tap logging, with project, joint number, procedure, macro photo and
visual inspection all optional
• QC sign-off recording the representative's name and signature on the device
at the time
• Welding procedure library: WPS number, process, base metal, P-number,
filler, shielding gas, amperage, voltage and polarity
• Warnings at 60, 30, 14, 7 and 3 days before a qualification lapses
• A diagnostics screen showing whether the phone will actually deliver them
• Continuity record PDF covering every certificate and every weld logged
against it, formatted for the QC file
• Your tickets and welds stay on the phone. There is no account and no cloud
copy of your records

WHO IT IS FOR

Certified welders who hold more than one qualification and are paid on the
strength of them: pipe welders, structural welders, fabricators, boilermakers
and contractors moving between sites. Also useful to QC supervisors and
welding coordinators who sign continuity records.

STANDARDS

WeldProof cites ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1 and ISO 9606-1, and applies each as
written rather than averaging them. ISO 9606-1 is not a rolling last-weld
clock: the certificate is confirmed at six-month intervals by the employer or
welding coordinator, and a logged weld does not renew it on its own. The app
shows the window as a prompt and does not claim to perform that confirmation.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

WeldProof is a record-keeping tool. It reduces the paperwork that keeps a
qualification alive and organises the evidence. It does not itself maintain,
extend or grant a qualification, it does not verify a signer's authority, and
it cannot know about work recorded elsewhere. It never tells you that you are
qualified; it tells you what your record shows and when it runs out. The range
check covers four variables, and a full range of qualification also turns on
essential variables such as F-number, backing, progression and product form.

The app is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by ASME, AWS or ISO.

DATA

Your tickets, welds and signatures are stored on the device and are never
uploaded. The app does send crash and usage diagnostics, and the standard tier
serves ads.
