About this app

ClearDip turns your pool or hot tub test results into a clear, step-by-step plan: what to add, how much, and in what order. Log a test in seconds, see what's off, and fix it without the guesswork. Every feature is free.

Use it for in-ground pools, above-ground pools, saltwater pools, hot tubs and spas.

LOG A TEST IN SECONDS
• Slide each reading to match your strips or drop kit, or tap to type it exactly
• Free, total and combined chlorine, bromine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer (CYA), calcium hardness, salt and water temperature
• Readings turn green or red as you slide, based on targets for your pool
• Stabilizer, calcium and salt carry over from your last test so you don't re-enter them every time

A TREATMENT PLAN, IN THE RIGHT ORDER
• Steps run alkalinity, then pH, then calcium and stabilizer, then sanitizer, with wait times between them
• Amounts are sized to the products you actually buy: liquid chlorine, bleach, cal-hypo, dichlor or trichlor; full-strength or low-fume muriatic acid, or dry acid; calcium flakes or pellets; granular or liquid stabilizer
• Chlorine targets scale with your stabilizer level
• Shock warnings for combined chlorine, algae or cloudy water, with a breakpoint target
• Scaling check (LSI) tells you if your water is likely to etch plaster or leave scale
• Flags when stabilizer, calcium or salt is so high that partly draining is the real fix

POOLS, ABOVE-GROUND POOLS AND HOT TUBS
• Chlorine, salt system or bromine (including tablets in a floater or feeder)
• Separate targets for hot tubs
• Volume estimator for round and rectangular pools
• Dose calculators for quick one-off adjustments

YOUR UNITS, YOUR LANGUAGE
• US (gallons, ounces, pounds) or metric (liters, mL, grams, kg), picked automatically from your region
• Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Italian and Korean

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your logs stay on your phone. There is no account and no ClearDip cloud.
• Your test readings, pools and notes are never shared with advertisers

EVERY FEATURE FREE
Test logging, treatment plans, full history and trends, as many pools and hot tubs as you like, dose calculators, the volume estimator and export are all free. ClearDip is supported by ads, and a one-time Remove ads purchase turns them off. No subscription.

ClearDip gives estimates to help you care for your water. It isn't a substitute for a pool professional or your test kit's instructions. Always add chemicals safely, one at a time, and never mix them.
