The Clicks app lets you customize your Clicks Keyboard settings and preferences.

Keyboard backlight - Control the brightness and dim timeout of the keyboard backlight.

Caps lock - Control the behaviour of the shift key. When turned on, pressing the shift key once makes the next charater a capital letter. Double clicking the shift key enables shift lock. When disabled, you must press and hold shift to get a captial letter.

Alt lock - Control the behaviour of the '123' key. When turned on, pressing the '123' key once makes the next typed character a number of symbol. Double clicking the shift key enables number lock - (great for typing phone numbers of long number strings!). When disabled, you must press and hold '123' to get numbers and symbols.

Key customization - Configure the function of keys like the Clicks key, alt and Gemini button

Cursor mode - Enable cursor mode to use WASD and IJKL as directional cursor keys

Update your keyboard firmware over the air to optimize the typing experience.

Ratings and reviews

Works pretty well. The UI for the app could use some work (it doesn't fit on my Razr's outer display), more customization options would be nice, and I have issues with the keyboard disconnecting when I charge over USB, but i understand a lot of these issues to be specific to Motorola hardware.

Feels unfinished and abandoned. Has extremely limited shortcut customisation, I don't want or need the default options baked into the keyboard. No option to change the vestigial gemeni button anything other than a dash? Really!? This software is an excellent start but NEEDS improvement.

When used with a Motorola RAZR Ultra 2025, there are numerous bugs or glitches, leading to disconnects, or total unresponsiveness, and neither Motorola nor Clicks Technology has issued the necessary updates to correct the problems. The last update to the Clicks App was in the Summer of '25, and it's now February! Just completely unacceptable from a support standpoint! Until these bugs are fixed, this physical keyboard case works well... WHEN it works. Caveat Emptor: Let the buyer beware.
